Pierpoint Addiction Treatment Centre offers help to Employers, Employees and Families
For Employers
As concern mounts over increasing Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Industry and Commerce, companies are realising that it pays to protect their investment in employees.
Research has proved that the menace of addiction and abuse cuts across social groups — from the Shop-floor to the Boardroom.
In the United States, companies have recognised for some time that Alcohol and Drug dependency should be treated as illnesses.
Now, UK companies are beginning to acknowledge that it is often better to invest in Treatment for an Employee rather than to lose their valuable skills and experience.
Pierpoint offers help and advice to Employers wishing to tackle Substance Abuse and Addiction problems among their Staff.
Pierpoint has qualified staff who can provide information which will help Managers identify Alcohol and Drug problems, and offer assistance with assessment and advice on intervention.
Where it is necessary to treat an Employee at Pierpoint, Staff will work closely with the Employer to plan continuing care after discharge and a successful return to work.
Pierpoint provides "in-house" Detoxification from all drugs, fully-qualified nursing staff, trained Addiction Counsellors, Consultant Psychiatrist, supporting General Medical Practitioners; and a proven Modified 12-Step abstinence-based residential treatment programme.
The Centre's Group Manager, Sue Davis, says: "More and more companies are realising the benefits of recognising the problems of their employees and helping them to get treatment. Our aim is to assist Employers in identifying and tackling these problems at an early stage, thereby helping the individual and their family — and saving the company money in the long term. Pierpoint has achieved excellent results with clients who have come to us from a working environment".
For Families
As a relative or friend of a long term user, you will have suffered greatly and may well have reached the point of not feeling you are able to open yourself up to the likely hurt and trauma of getting involved 'yet again'.
For anyone seeking recovery from addiction, how their family reacts and supports them both before, during and after treatment is crucial to their long term recovery.
At Pierpoint we pride ourselves on the work we do with families and friends of the clients we work with. Many families still write to us many years after their relative has left treatment to tell us how our help helped them as a family to survive and how well our ex-clients life is now going.
Before Treatment When your relative of friend is considering treatment OR if you want to find out about the possibility of treatment for them, our Admissions Coordinators are very happy to spend time on the phone or seeing you in person to guide you through the possibilities, what to expect and explain in more detail how we will work with your relative and the rest of the family. Call our friendly Admissions Coordinators on 0845 458 3700 0845 458 3700
During Treatment Involving a client's family or significant others in their treatment is actually PART OF TREATMENT for all of our clients. Their addiction will have had a huge impact on the lives of many people. Our programme helps addicts to recognize this and we then seek to help both the addict and the family / friends deal with some very difficult realities.
Our team are trained in working with families and always make the experience valuable and rewarding to clients and their family / friends.
Our Clinical Team will be in touch with you as soon as your relative has been admitted so that we can help you deal with any negative or pressurizing telephone calls that you will receive.
If you want to know more about this call our admissions team on 0845 458 3700 0845 458 3700
After Treatment The relative or friend that you 'get back' will be a different person to the addict you used to know. With our help you will have traveled this journey of change alongside your relative or friend.
We will have helped you all build plans and strategies for the future. We will remain available for you to contact once your relative friend has left us should you need any further help or support.
